From the outside looking in it looked like a charmed life.
From the inside looking out it was a different story entirely.
This blog is NOT me whining an complaining about my life and the mistakes I've made. By many accounts, I've got it pretty good. Roof over my head, food to eat, a healthy family. The issues I discovered are definitely what's known as 'first world' issues but, they are real issues just the same. And not just for me but for many others as well.
Instead, this is about realizing that my experience is not that different from many others no matter their age. It's about coming to the realization that at the age of 50 I was not where thought I would be back when I was in my 20's. It's also about the embarrassing fact that I took another SIX years to come to grips that nothing was going to change until I did.
Mainly, this is about us all becoming empowered for a better future regardless of our current reality or desired future reality.
